Welcome to El Mangroove, truly the grooviest property in Northern Costa Rica. Nestled between the mangroves of Papagayo, guests can spend their days exploring the coastline or wandering the beautiful grounds and visiting the spa. We fell in love with the modern decor, natural furnishings and excellent service. Costa Rica was a spectacular surprise for us and Papagayo is a true gem.

Use or earn your Marriott points at this stunning resort if you’re looking for a relaxing getaway. The property runs private tours, offers indulgent spa treatments and provides a luxurious retreat for all guests. Just wait til you see the rooms! We had a private hammock on our screened in porch that we absolutely fell in love with. Rooms come with luxurious hammocks or swinging chairs on the patio, meaning, there’s really no reason to leave your room.

One of our favorite features of the resort it’s connection to the nature and its surroundings. Every piece of decor and every amenity was meant to exist in this area. From the “bing the outside in” spaces, to the products in the bathroom, there is no question that every detail was made for El Mangrove. There is so much to explore in this region – check out our favorite activity under the Activities section! Dining is a must-do on property as well. The food is excellent, farm-to-table and really blew our minds. Eating with your toes in the same is truly a luxury.
